This pattern is for fingerless gloves only.
The gloves are knitted in a 4/2 rib pattern with twisted knit stitches. The twisted knit stitches get wrapped at intervals as you knit, which makes for the unusual bamboo-like lines along the glove when unworn. When you put the glove on, the lines change into pumpkin-like circles.
